My favorite book this month was Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. This has always been my favorite book of the series but listening to the full cast version made it so much better. I forgot a lot of the smaller details in this book and forgot how Harry’s emotions were so strong through this whole book. And I love the amount of character growth seen in all these characters at this point.

My thoughts:
The story of this book was really good. It definitely hit the spooky / suspense marks. I really liked Opal’s character. I thought all the different pieces to this story fit together nicely. It wasn’t overly complex but still had enough going on that I didn’t see some of the things coming. What I was a little bummed about is that it felt like the end pacing was not matched to the rest. The end felt like it just flew straight through. Overall I thought it was a pretty good book though.

I really didn’t think I would like Tris’s character as much as I did the others after reading Alyssa-Ray’s other series. But once I hit chapter 3, I was hooked. This was such a good enemies to lovers story. I still love the way this town and all the characters are woven together. I love a good real life, believable love story and this hit that nail on the head!! Such a good read!
